Rider Profile – Urmila Prajapati

Meet the amazing Urmila Prajapati who will be doing the 350 Miles Scotland to Birmingham Bike Ride! She will be supporting the amazing work that Sikh Helpline does such as: Domestic violence, Bullying, Substance Abuse and much more! She is the only female taking part. Urmila has also taken part in marathons and has now taken up cycling. We hope that this encourages more females to take part in future bike rides.

Story
Hi everyone, it has been 2 years since I did my ultimate cycling challenge, cycling from Lands End to John O’groats 1015 miles over 14 days. I am now cycling from Edinburgh to Birmingham in August, 350 miles over 4 days.

Day 1 Edinburgh to Newcastle 120 miles
Day 2 Newcastle to Leeds 103 miles
Day 3 Leeds to Derby 80 miles
Day 4 Derby to Birmingham 50 miles

This will be really challenging as I haven’t ridden over 100 miles consecutively before.

All the money raised will be going to the Sikh helpline, which is a fantastic charity open to anyone no matter what your religion is.

About the Sikh Helpline:

This year, the funds raised from the 350 mile Pro Bike ride will be dedicated to continue providing crucial mental and emotional support for the increased number of calls the Sikh Helpline have received due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Sikh Helpline is dedicated to helping people of all backgrounds with issues such as mental health, abuse, alcohol and drug abuse, domestic violence, bullying, racism, hate crimes, relationship issues, and much more!

The Sikh Helpline is receiving a high volume of calls and its demand has become nationwide. This bike ride will help support The Sikh Helpline to continue the vital services they provide for the Every Call Matters campaign as well as much needed attention to our cause.

Please donate generously.

Many thanks on advance.
Milly
